The British monarchy is set to receive an extra £45 million in funding due to soaring profits from the Crown Estate. The income boost comes from a surge in profits, largely attributed to the opening of six new offshore wind farms.

Crown Estate profits have increased to £1.1 billion. The Sovereign Grant will rise from £86.3 million to £132 million. This will help fund the final stages of Buckingham Palace renovations.

The Royal Household has implemented environmentally-friendly measures. The King’s Bentleys will run on biofuel within the next year. The long-term plan is to switch to electric cars. Sustainable aviation fuel use has increased for royal flights.
Despite a 3% decrease in natural gas and heating emissions, total greenhouse gas emissions slightly increased due to business travel.
