Exciting news from Pure-Green Colorado (Pure-Green)! They’ve snagged a $298,000 grant from Colorado’s Geothermal Energy Grant Program. What’s all the fuss about? Well, this grant is going to turbocharge their efforts to explore geothermal technology. But that’s not all – they’re teaming up with the Steamboat Ski Resort to dive deep into geothermal power paired with green hydrogen production.

So, what’s the game plan? Picture this: the Steamboat project aims to dish out renewable geothermal energy and long-lasting storage straight to the Yampa Valley grid. How? By tapping into the earth’s heat and storing it up for when we need it most. And here’s the cherry on top: they’re planning to whip up some green hydrogen to swap out natural gas and fuel up fleet vehicles. Plus, they’re cooking up heat to warm up the revamped Gondola Transit Center.

Brian Dunn, the big boss at Pure-Green, couldn’t be happier. He says, “This grant is our golden ticket to explore the future of geothermal with the Steamboat Ski Resort. Our tech is all set to go, and we’re pumped to see it in action at the resort.”

But wait, there’s more! Pure-Green isn’t going solo on this adventure. They’ve got some heavy hitters on their side. Sage Geosystems from Houston, Texas and New Day Hydrogen from Englewood, Colorado are jumping on board to make this dream a reality.

It’s a win-win-win situation: clean energy, a high-flying ski resort, and a dash of frontier spirit. Pure-Green Colorado is set to make waves – or should we say, steam?
