The U.S. Department of Energy’s Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technologies Office (HFTO) is teaming up with SAMPE North America to host a workshop on advanced materials for hydrogen infrastructure. This event will take place on May 22 during the SAMPE 2024 Conference and Exhibition in Long Beach, California.

The workshop will focus on using fiber-reinforced composites in hydrogen infrastructure. These materials are crucial for building safe and efficient hydrogen systems. Presenters from HFTO will include Ned Stetson, program manager; Zeric Hulvey, technology manager; and Asha-Dee Celestine, ORISE fellow.

This event builds on two earlier workshops hosted by HFTO. In January, HFTO held a workshop on hydrogen infrastructure strategies, attracting over 200 attendees and 20 speakers. In February, they focused on hydrogen infrastructure priorities for transportation.

By bringing together experts and industry leaders, the May workshop aims to tackle the challenges and explore the opportunities in hydrogen infrastructure, helping pave the way for a cleaner energy future.
